Choose particular locations to add ease, such as adding extra ease through the bust but not the waist.
1 Trace your chosen front bodice master pattern or bodice design pattern onto drafting paper.
2 Decide on the size button you will use.
3 Draw a vertical line away from the center front that extends the diameter of your button. This is your button extension. Mark as a foldline. On a shallow neckline, the extension is perpendicular to the center front [A]. On a V-neckline, just continue the slope of the neckline through the extension [B].
